Kate Parvenski is an artist and multimedia producer currently pursuing a Masters in Media Studies at The New School.
Here's a little more about me, in my own voice:
I got my start at StoryCorps, the nation's leading storytelling and oral history project, where I used a passion for people and storytelling to build and support award-winning and diverse teams. Since then, I've worked as a consultant, arts administrator, and project manager. Recently, I was a producer for Make/Time, an arts interview podcast about craft and the creative process. I hold a BA in Studio Art from Vassar College and was an Artist in Residence at the Textile Arts Center in Brooklyn.
How do textiles, media, and a nonprofit background fit together? I've been having fun figuring that one out...
Mostly, I’m excited by work that brings people, ideas, and communities together to create change - let's connect!
